Company History

Company founder Wolfgang Fels became self-employed in 1977 marketing graphic products.

With the arrival of his son Michael Fels and the purchase of a seal stamp press, the company literally began as a “garage company” in 1983. This marked the beginning of the leap from a pure trading company to a label producer.

The machine park, which has grown steadily since then, was expanded to include several digital printing machines from 2014 onwards. So – as Michael Fels humorously said – we arrived in a double garage.

Over the decades, Michael Fels has experienced pretty much everything as an entrepreneur. The resulting experiences were the basis for ongoing success and, last but not least, ensured a long-standing and satisfied customer base.

After almost forty years as managing director, Mr. Fels has decided to hand over the company to a suitable successor at the end of 2023 in order to ensure the future of Wolfgang Fels GmbH and to retire himself.

A worthy successor has been found in the person of Timo Wolfsdorf. He quickly stood out with his vision for Wolfgang Fels GmbH and was able to convince Michael Fels.

Timo Wolfsdorf has been managing director and owner of the label printing company Froben Druck GmbH & Co. KG for over 10 years, which he has led to constant growth and success over this period.

As of January 1st, 2024, Mr. Wolfsdorf took over the management of Wolfgang Fels GmbH as planned. His extensive experience and good networking in the industry will undoubtedly benefit us.

In addition, both companies complement each other excellently in terms of their possibilities, so that the production diversity is significantly expanded and you as our customer will benefit from synergy and experience effects.
